What services does A Glass Guy offer?
We handle window repair and replacement, glass cutting, screen repair and replacement, mirror installation, shower enclosures, storefront glass, and door glass — for homes and businesses across the Rockford area.
Do you work on residential and commercial properties?
Yes — both. We serve homeowners, landlords, property managers, and business owners. Whether it's a broken bedroom window or a storefront glass panel, we can help.
Can you work on any brand or type of window?
In most cases, yes. We work with all major window brands and types, including single-pane, double-pane, casement, sliding, and specialty shapes. If you're not sure, just call us and describe what you've got — 815-391-3654.
Can you fix foggy or cloudy glass between window panes?
Yes. Fogging between panes means the insulated seal has failed. We can replace the glass unit without replacing the entire window frame, which is usually the more affordable fix.
Do you replace full door units, or just the glass?
We specialize in glass replacement within existing door frames. If only the glass panel is damaged — whether it's a decorative panel, a sidelight, or a full-lite door — we can usually replace just the glass and save you the cost of a full door replacement.

We handle most jobs within roughly 30–40 miles of Rockford. For larger commercial projects, we're willing to travel further — reach out and we'll let you know.

Are estimates free?
Yes. There's no charge for estimates.
How fast can you get to my job?
For broken or unsecured windows, we do our best to get out quickly — often same-day or next-day. For non-emergency repairs and replacements, timing depends on our schedule and whether we need to order specialty glass. We'll give you a realistic window when you call.
Can I bring a piece of glass to you to have it cut?
Yes — we do custom glass cutting. Bring in a template or measurements and we can cut glass to size for windows, shelves, tabletops, mirrors, and more.
